With all the billionaires out there outing themselves as fully fascist and complicit in authoritarianism, it’s no surprise that their social media companies followed suit. Death to Meta! Long Live PixelFed! With the knowledge out there brought to us by the documentary, The Great Hack, I’m distancing myself from any social media platform that has a billionaire attached to it. I’ve decided to make a switch. I’m doubling down on Mastodon.
While I have my main Mastodon account, I’ve decided to investigate the Instagram-like PixelFed. I can put all my erotic art up on this fantastic platform, which is part of the Fediverse. This is great news for the likes of adult creatives like myself! It’s fantastic that anyone who follows me on Mastodon can then also follow me on PixelFed and vice versa. I can interact with fans and friends without fear of being harassed due to the robust tools at my disposal. I can post erotic art with a content warning so that I can continue to exist without retribution from the faceless void that runs and ruins so many major social media platforms. I’ve said good-bye to the vile censorship and attacks that take place on platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. I’ve vowed to never get burned by another social media app ever again.
